Earl Anthony Richards — CEO

Earl Anthony Richards, CD, has been Chief Executive Officer of NMIA Airports Limited since 2003.  He is also President of Airports Authority of Jamaica since 1998.

He is a graduate of the University of Toronto (BASc.,1969), and the Mona School of Business (UWI, MBA, 1992).  In 2002, he received the Order of Distinction - Commander Class (CD), for Public Service.

Mr Richards worked in various engineering capacities with Benghiat Associates (later ADeB Consultants) – Engineering Consultants (1969-1971), McMorris Sibley Robinson – Architects (1971–1973), Douglas Pearce Engineers Limited - Engineers and Contractors (1974).   He later joined the National Development Agency as Project Manager, Project Director, and was its General Manager from 1977 to 1981.

Mr Richards is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Registration Board (Jamaica) and is the recent past President of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers. He is Chairman of the Board of Management of Shortwood Teachers’ College and Board of Directors of The Shortwood Foundation. He is a member of the Boards of Clarendon College (his alma mater), Jamaica Youth for Christ, Hands Across Jamaica for Righteousness and Ports Security Corps Limited.  Mr Richards served on the boards of several public and private companies, including Jamaica Public Service Company, The Electricity Authority & Rural Electrification Programme Limited, National Water Authority and Mona Institute of Business.
