Future expansion plans calls for further development of international routes, including service to St. Maarten and Puerto Rico in order to offer interline connections throughout the Caribbean, Europe and South America. Fleet expansion continues according to the needs of the routes as they are added. Currently, the airline operates two 30 passenger Embraer; 120 Brasilias with lavatories, galleys, and flight attendant service; two 19 seat Twin Otters; one 9 passenger Britten Norman Islander and a Citation Jet for executive charters. Air Turks & Caicos currently operates 50 scheduled domestic, chartered flights, and short-haul international flights on a daily basis.
In 2008, Air Turks and Caicos bought its direct competitor SkyKing. The SkyKing crew was hired by Air Turks and Caicos on 22 October 2008. In November 2013, the Company announced a new brand name for the airline followed by a new expansion plan. The new brand name is InterCaribbean Airways: new slogan – connecting you and the Caribbean.
InterCaribbean Airways has plans in progress to implement the new brand and you will see the changes from the aircraft paintings to signage at the Airports. A whole new website is underway that will extend customer interactions, introduce new guest services and enhancements across many areas of the company.
